Tessa and Chris Hall are the owners of The ClayGround. Tessa is a life-long resident of NW Louisiana and Chris is an Arkansas transplant by way of the US Air Force. He retired in 2018. Tessa has been in executive leadership of marketing companies from KTBS, ReachLocal, SOCi and Colors On Parade – Corporate over her 20+ year career. Together, they knew, post military life, they wanted to focus on their God given talents along with life and career given skills to bring new business to the NW LA region where they raised their family.
Tessa, a life-long creative artist of various mediums began feeling like “Corporate America” wasn’t right for her anymore and the lack of balance wasn’t right for not only her, but for most of us in the general workforce. This began a rabbit hole that became her platform. While taking some time to care for her daughter that was injured in Veterinary School, Tessa took up pottery on a whim, quickly realizing that it was therapeutic during an emotional time in life. Immediately, Tessa knew others needed this as well and the spark of inspiration was created.

The ClayGround began with humble beginnings with the flagship location in an old coffee shop at 3820 N. Market. The building had been empty for four years and many questioned the location; however, the NW Louisiana region, along with many tourists from surrounding areas showed up and supported the business, fueling Tessa’s fire to continue and eventually purchase the property, anchoring The ClayGround in the market where it was supported from day one.

Chris and Tessa also own another local business that serves NW Louisiana in various capacities. Both are Geminis and “creative types”, so they aren’t “supposed” to work, but they do! Chris is a multi-tasking SMART Repair master at Colors On Parade where he services automotive dealers across N. Louisiana. Colors on Parade of North Louisiana is one of the top performing franchises in the United States.
